Trader Joe’s is a great place to get most of the items on your shopping list. I’ve tried a lot of Trader Joe’s items and have put together a list of 10 items you need to add to your shopping list.

1. Trader Joe’s Organic Blood Orange Seltzer Water

I’ve tried a variety of seltzer waters and never found one I liked until I tried Trader Joe’s Seltzer with a Splash. My favorite flavor is blood orange and orange juice. This seltzer has just the right amount of sweetness–a splash of it to be exact. With only 2 grams of sugar and 15 calories, it’s a guilt-free water substitute or as the sign suggests, a great mixer for a refreshing alcoholic beverage. A need-to-add to your Trader Joe’s shopping list.

2. Trader Joe’s Pomegranate Flavored Green Tea

My next favorite beverage from Trader Joe’s is their Pomegranate Flavored Green Tea. It’s extremely refreshing and not too sweet, making it the perfect iced tea. I buy at least two every time I go to Trader Joe’s. It’s addictive but with a low amount of sugar, you can sip on it guilt free.

3. Trader Joe’s Organic Pomegranate Seeds

As you can tell, I have a common theme when it comes to flavors. I found these organic pomegranate seeds which make the perfect topping to many dishes or snacks. One of my favorite things to do with pomegranate is to add it to my guacamole. I was in Toronto a few years ago dining at a fancy Mexican restaurant with my boyfriend. We ordered the guacamole as you do at any Mexican place, and were a little apprehensive when it came out with pomegranate seeds on top of it. To our surprise, it was amazing. The burst of sweetness was so delicious and I knew I needed to copy it. Ever since then, I buy these seeds with my avocados to make my new signature party dish. Thanks to Trader Joe’s, these pomegranate seeds are super convenient for this quick recipe.

4. Trader Joe’s Ciabatta Flatbread Pizza Crust

Being from Buffalo, NY we have so many great options for ordering pizza. However, sometimes it’s nice to be able to make a delicious pizza at home for a quick dinner. This ciabatta flatbread serves as a delicious pizza crust. Add your favorite toppings and bake for 10 minutes. The seasonings make this crust so flavorful, resulting in a really impressive at-home pizza.  A must-add to your Trader Joe’s shopping list.

5. Trader Joe’s Sweet Potato Ribbons

Another one of my go-to recipes is sweet potato pasta with chicken sausage and red sauce. I found these thinly-sliced sweet potato ribbons which are the perfect cut for sautéing in some olive oil and using as a pasta substitute. I cook up some chicken sausage and red sauce and bam—you’ve got a low-carb, delicious dinner. I’m all about convenience and love these pre-sliced sweet potato ribbons and grab them frequently when shopping.

6. Trader Joe’s Sun-Dried Tomato Chicken Sausage

Trader Joe’s chicken sausage is another item I like to have in my fridge for a quick dinner idea. The sun-dried tomato flavor is great to sauté and add to pasta–or sweet potato ribbons! I also add it to some linguine with chopped up sun-dried tomatoes, spinach and pesto.

7. Trader Joe’s Organic Buffalo Style Hummus

Hummus isn’t anything original but this flavor adds a huge kick. If you like spicy flavors, you’ll love this hummus. It’s a healthy substitute for the heavy buffalo-style dips out there and is great with crackers, chips, veggies and more. The smooth and creamy dip is great to have on hand to spice up any snack. If you’re looking to add some spice to your snacks, add this to your shopping list.

8. Trader Joe’s Quinoa Cowboy Veggie Burger

I try to keep my freezer stocked for those days when I’ve run out of fresh groceries and need something healthy. Trader Joe’s Quinoa Cowboy Veggie Burger is a great item to have on-hand. Simply microwave or bake and add it to a bun or over some greens for a yummy salad.

9. Trader Joe’s Unsweetened Instant Oatmeal

This oatmeal is my go-to breakfast during the week. It’s gluten free and has all those healthy ingredients: flax seeds, quinoa, whole grains and more. It’s the perfect base for a delicious oatmeal bowl topped with granola, fresh fruit, honey or whatever you desire. The individual packs make it perfect to keep at your desk for a surprisingly delightful breakfast.

10. Greeting Cards and Flowers

The price of greeting cards is kind of ridiculous. I hate spending $5 on a card that will probably be tossed and most of the time they’re not even that well-designed. So, when I discovered the greeting cards at Trader Joe’s I was extremely excited. Their design and messages are always really creative and for 99 cents, you can’t beat it. Combined with their beautiful floral selection, you’ve got an inexpensive often for gifts!
